Expanding apprenticeship is about more than reaching into new industries – it is also about ensuring that a wide range of populations are recruited and succeed in apprenticeship programs.

In 2016, the U.S. Department of Labor issued updates to the apprenticeship Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) regulations. The revised regulations are designed to help apprenticeship sponsors reach a larger and more diverse pool of workers and ensure all workers have access to career pathways through apprenticeship programs.
